The Alabama Gulf Coast Sports Commission (AGCSC) will host Alabama legends Cornelius Bennett and Wimp Sanderson and SEC coaches Andy Kennedy and Mark Fox in addition to other collegiate, NBA and NFL coaches and players during this first time event. Play in the 5-man scramble begins at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club.</p>

After seeking out new events and supporting existing island events, they serviced a total of 51 events in 2009 that generated an additional 23,155 room nights for local accommodations. Ultimately, these athletic events lead to $7.6 million in total spending (combined room and additional spending), which is double 2008’s 3 million figure.</p>

Held at the Orange Beach Sportsplex, the top eight tournament seeds will square off in quarterfinal action starting on Wednesday, November 7 at noon. Winners will advance to semifinal play on Friday, November 9 with games beginning at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Tune into FSN/SUN on Sunday, November 11 for the championship showdown scheduled for a 2:30pm kickoff. The SEC Tournament Champion will continue its post season play as an automatic qualifier for the NCAA Tournament.
