"The Rick and Bubba Show" to Broadcast Live from Alabama's Beaches

4/23/2010

GULF SHORES and ORANGE BEACH, Ala. – Radio’s two sexiest fat men alive will make their annual spring break pilgrimage to the Alabama Gulf Coast as The Rick and Bubba Show broadcasts live from The Hangout on Friday, April 30, 2010, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (CST).

The public is invited to attend the live broadcast and may enjoy a complimentary breakfast, which will be provided by The Hangout.

In addition to the crew’s normal antics and entertainment, the special guest line-up includes representatives from the AL Gulf Coast CVB (CVB) and the Hangout Beach, Music and Arts Festival. The fun continues with animals from the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo and live music from Lisa Christian.

Also, a month long promotion will come to an end as the duo announces and calls the winner of The Rick and Bubba Sweepstakes, which includes a three-night stay in a beach-side condo from Kaiser Realty; four VIP tickets to the Hangout Beach, Music and Arts Festival; a $75 gift certificate to The Hangout restaurant and/or gift shop; two rounds of golf from the Gulf Shores Golf Association; and tickets to the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park and the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo.

This live broadcast is a partnership between the Alabama Tourism Department and the CVB.

“Having Rick and Bubba broadcast live from Alabama’s beautiful Gulf Coast has become an annual tradition each spring,” said Lee Sentell, director of the Alabama Tourism Department. “They have a large and loyal audience who identify with their sense of fun and foolishness. We are delighted to bring them down from Birmingham again this year.”

Based in Birmingham, Ala., this comedic morning show is syndicated and thus carried on more than 50 radio stations in 15 states, mostly throughout the Southeast. Locally, the show can be heard on Sunny 105.7 FM. It can also be heard during the weekdays on XM Radio channel 158 and is streamed on www.rickandbubba.com.
